Build Something for Dad - Book Signing and Workshop with Spike Carlsen. Saturday, June 9th at Valley Bookseller in Stillwater, Minnesota

Stillwater author, Spike Carlsen, will be at Valley Bookseller, Saturday, June 9th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. to sign books and help kids (ages 2 to 92) build a simple, yet intriguing, present for Father’s Day giving— a simple balancing bottle holder that seems to defy gravity. Materials provided, free!

Carlsen is the author of the award-winning A Splintered History of Wood, Ridiculously Simple Furniture Projects, and the newly released Woodworking FAQ: The Workshop Companion. Also, a seedling will be planted at a secondary school in Tanzania for every book sold to help students fund their education.

Giving a dad a book, a thing you’ve made, and a seedling makes a pretty cool gift package.

Valley Bookseller is located at 217 Main Street North in Stillwater.
