7:00 PMStillwater, MinnesotaSpike Carlsen will celebrate the release of his third book, Woodworking FAQ, with a “sawing” party and woodworking discussion at the Stillwater Public Library. During the event, Spike will build his “Leopold Bench”, using only hand tools, with the help of his granddaughter. He will also talk about his new book, which offers skill-building tips, advice, and guidance for all levels of wookworkers as well as answers to common woodworking questions.
Spike Carlsen is the author of A Splintered History of Wood and former executive editor of Family Handyman magazine. He has been working with wood for more than 30 years, and his articles have appeared in Old House Journal, Fine Homebuilding, and American Woodworker.
