Chick Days Giveaway: Vintage Hen Kitchen Timer

MyPetChicken.com has partnered with Storey Publishing to celebrate Chick Days. Every day of our Chick Day Eggstravaganza, MyPetChicken.com will be giving away a chicken-inspired gift!

All you have to do to enter is write a short response to each giveaway post. We will pick one winner at random for each giveaway posted, and we will announce the week's winners on Fridays — be sure to check back to Inside Storey each day!

Today's giveaway is the Black Hen Kitchen Timer.

Let us know why you would like to win this gift, if you own chickens, or if you want to raise chickens; give us your favorite chicken or egg recipe or tell us a funny chicken story; or just say “hello.” But remember, you must post to be entered to win.

We look forward to your responses!

Happy Chick Days from your friends at Storey Publishing & MyPetChicken.com.

I would like to win the chicken timer because my other one is broken, so I really need one. And because I like chickens! I have a blog called "the chicken wire" which is about the experiences we have as we raise our flock of four chickens(which we are raising from chicks this year)and it's also going to include tours I take of friends chicken coops and what I learn from them. http://thechickenwire.blogspot.com/

I admit, I'm a terrible cook, but I'm trying!! The timer would definitely help and my husband would appreciate eating less burnt suppers!

Well, I would love the timer to give to my friend that decorates her kitchen with chickens. She doesn't have the real thing...I do. I have Light Brahmas...and I just love them. In fact, I am raising another 10 chicks right now to add to the flock. I've named all of my hens after girls I went to high school with back in 1972!

As I am a new chicken owner (we have 11 in my yoga room right now) I love all things chicken. I also cook them hard boiled eggs for breakfast and this timer would count the 25 min. it takes to steam them!

My chickens are okay despite the weather we have had lately. The coop we have is made out of recycled metal so I am sure that it can't easily be blown away.

I would love to have that timer! It is so funky and country, and would look great on top of my gas stove! Here's hoping!

Our chicks are one week old today. They are getting feathers on the tips of their wings and seem far more alert and curious. I love watching them grow.

Woohoo! Mom fixed our Blogger issues just as I was going to bed. Now I really want to win her that timer for Mother's Day, and not just because she needs a timer to help her actually cook boiled eggs all the way through. Thanks! This is Bryce H., and I'm up WAY past my bedtime. Mom also just fixed our Blu-Ray/DVD player. She deserves a good time...r!
