On Friday, September 20, the Mother Earth News Fair kicks off in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. Here at Storey, we’re counting down all week long, and so is author Stephanie Tourles.
Stephanie’s got seven reasons the Mother Earth News Fair is a must-attend. Here are Reasons #4 and #3!
Stephanie’s got seven reasons the Mother Earth News Fair is a must-attend. Here are Reasons #4 and #3!
Reason #4: Vendors
Oh my goodness. Prepare to be amazed by the sheer range of vendors at the Mother Earth News Fair. There are retailers of solar power units and water purifiers; purveyors of exotic organic chocolate bars and energy bars made from hemp seeds (yum!); dealers of handmade clothing and handspun yarns; suppliers of herbal ingredients and products; and sellers of organic coffee by the pound (with hot samples for tasting), skin and body care products, superior olive oil and goat milk soaps, local honey and beeswax, organic garden seeds, small landscape plants, log cabin kits...and more.
Word to the wise: bring a big backpack or a wheeled cart for toting home all of the fabulous goodies you’ll want to purchase. What a great way to get a jump on holiday gifts!
Reason #3: The Bookstore
The Mother Earth News Fair has the best collection of books on every subject related to independent, holistic, and sustainable lifestyles, crafts, and farming. If you love to learn and read, the fair is an ideal place for stocking your library. Better yet, many of the authors are on site to sign the books for you!
