Vote For Bumble Bees!

From our friends at the Xerces Society! They and the bumble bee could be on chocolate bar wrappers nationwide, with our help. If you’re on Facebook, please vote once a day!
Hi everyone,
We have a great opportunity to raise awareness of pollinator conservation!

VOTE FOR BUMBLE BEES!

With your help, we can get a bumble bee onto an Endangered Species Chocolate bar wrapper. Vote ONCE EACH DAY at http://on.fb.me/16IqJDJ (note that you need to have a Facebook page for this to work). Endangered Species Chocolate (ESC) has launched a campaign to select two new animals to be featured on their chocolate bar wrappers. With your help, we can make one of them a bumble bee! ESC selected six animals that represent six conservation organizations: the bumble bee and Xerces are one of those six! ESC is also making a $1,000 donation to the two winning organizations. That’s really nice (really, really nice!), but the main prize is a bumble bee on a wrapper. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to see a bumble bee on the shelves of grocery stores across the country? It could bring a great amount of publicity to the problems they face and the need to protect them.

The choice will be made based on voting on Facebook. Please vote once each day for bumble bees at http://on.fb.me/16IqJDJ — and then share this link with your friends and networks. The other five animals all have their supporters too so we need your help to win!

Voting for the new wrapper stars continues every day until 11:59pm EST on Sunday, 4/21. The winners will be announced on Earth Day. Thanks for voting and for encouraging others to vote. Let’s show them that bumble bees deserve respect!

Best wishes, Mace
