Chicken Mysteries on The Chicken Encyclopedia Blog Tour

"One of these things is not like the other," says Leslie on Farm Fresh Fun, today's stop on The Chicken Encyclopedia Blog Tour. When she bought her newest chicks from Craigslist, Leslie was told they were Plymouth Barred Rocks.  But then she noticed that one of her hens had a different comb than the others ... and she started finding blue eggs!  So the timing of Gail Damerow's new book and the blog tour couldn't have been better for Leslie, who wrote "As soon as it came I eagerly opened it and looked up Araucanas. And immediately learned A LOT!"

Thanks to The Chicken Encyclopedia and expert Gail Damerow, Leslie's mystery has been solved - she had an Araucana mixed in with her Plymouth Barred Rocks!  Click on over to Farm Fresh Fun to read Leslie's story; she has some great photos on there too - except for the eggs and the comb, these hens look exactly alike!

And don't forget to check back in tomorrow for the next stop on The Chicken Encyclopedia Blog Tour!
