Andrea Chesman Cookbook Giveaway

Andrea Chesman is the author of many Storey cookbooks, including The Pickled Pantry, Recipes from the Root Cellar, Serving Up the Harvest, and Mom’s Best One-Dish Suppers, and coauthor of 250 Treasured Country Desserts and The Classic Zucchini Cookbook.

I love to cook, and I love Andrea's cookbooks — you may recall the posts I have written that included her recipes (Zowie, I'm Still Harvesting Zucchini; Make a Memorable Salad for Memorial Day; and Pull Out Your Roots). Needless to say, I am so excited to announce that famed cookbook author Andrea Chesman will be a regular contributor to InsideStorey!

To celebrate her joining our blog team, I want to give away my two favorite Andrea Chesman cookbooks: Recipes from the Root Cellar and Serving Up the Harvest.

To enter to win, tell us if you have tried any of Andrea's recipes before or why you would love to own these two books. I will pick the winner at random and post said winner a week from today. Be sure to check back to see if that lucky winner is you.

Other posts inspired by Andrea or written by Andrea include:

I would love to have these cookbooks, not only to try the recipes, obviously, but because I have published a family cookbook and in the process of investigating publishing a couple more, based on new ideas. I'd like to check out these cookbooks to see if they offer me a format that will work better, artistically, than the last publishing format I used. I'd like them for inspiration and information!

I haven't tried any of Andrea's recipes yet, but I have seen these books at the local bookstore, and they look gorgeous. I love cookbooks that help me take advantage of all the deliciousness of seasonal food. Recipes from the Root Cellar would be particularly helpful right now, since we have long winters here in VT!

Frankly I've never heard of Andrea, and I'm happy to be introduced here. I would love the cookbooks because I love gardening and I'm working hard to grow as much as I can of fresh food. I'm going to check out her article on eating Kale. I've been eating it almost daily now for the calcium and iron benefits. Maybe I'll find some new ideas.

Our goal also this spring/summer will be to grow a lot of our own produce and I feel these book would be a helpful resource in making good use of what we grow.

Great giveaway. I too am having a giveaway on my blog also. A very "British" one,

I don't think I've tried any of Andrea's recipes but I'd sure love to win these two books. I know I'd enjoy cooking from this since I love cooking for the seasons and that's just what harvest cooking and cooking from the root cellar sounds like.

I LOVE Andrea's recipes. I have taken both of her books out of the library several times. I'd love to own copies of both so I wouldn't have to keep giving them back! Other cookbooks tend to focus on the summer vegetables and ignore the tasty fall and winter veggies. It's great to have her wonderful, tasty, tested recipes to use.
