Chick Days Giveaway: Ceramic Egg Rack

MyPetChicken.com has partnered with Storey Publishing to celebrate Chick Days. Every day of our Chick Day Eggstravaganza, MyPetChicken.com will be giving away a chicken-inspired gift!

All you have to do to enter is write a short response to each giveaway post. We will pick one winner at random for each giveaway posted, and we will announce the week's winners on Fridays — be sure to check back to Inside Storey each day!
Today's giveaway is the Ceramic Egg Rack (holds 12 eggs).

Let us know why you would like to win this gift, if you own chickens, or if you want to raise chickens; give us your favorite chicken or egg recipe or tell us a funny chicken story; or just say “hello.” But remember, you must post to be entered to win.

We look forward to your responses!

Happy Chick Days from your friends at Storey Publishing & MyPetChicken.com.

The ceramic egg rack is a cute idea, I would love to have it. I don't have my chickens yet, but as soon as I move into my farm in July, they will be there!

I love the cermic egg rack. I remember when I was very young, my grandmother had chickens. Every summer when I would go to visit her I would get the job of cleaning the coup and collecting the eggs. I now live in the suburbs and I am slowing turning my yard into an all edible yard. I would love to have a few chickens so my daughter could experience a little of the farm life that I did when I was her age. Unfortunatly I don't have enough square footage for any farm animals. My ultimate goal is to be able to have about 2 acres to have a small farm with animals.

I just got my first chickens! I can't wait for my first eggs....they'll be here any day! I'd love to have the ceramic egg holder--I didn't even know they made such a thing!

Pretty and practical too! That would be a great addition to our new venture. Our family's farm has been around for almost a century and this year we're going back to our roots. My hubby and I have 21 chickens; Buff Orps, Austalorps, Ameracaunas, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, & Sicillian Buttercups. We started an 8000 sq ft garden - his Dad went a little crazy on the tractor ;-) - and I've started composting. This city girl is learning a lot and loving every bit of it!

oOo! That would make a lovely edition to my eggs (the prettiest part, right?). This Spring I'm enjoying the first eggs from the first batch of chicks that my hens hatched themselves last Fall. I'll admit that I'm very proud of this accomplishment as it's the first "big" one in the start of my little homestead.

I really want one of these: Martha Steward uses something like it to hold her eggs when she does her cooking show...I saw them last year. And I have so many chicken stories I could write a book! My flock keeps me in stiches...my girls are each named after a girl I went to high school with...it's a hoot!
