Chick Days Giveaway: Black Hen Tape Dispenser

MyPetChicken.com has partnered with Storey Publishing to celebrate Chick Days. Every day of our Chick Day Eggstravaganza, MyPetChicken.com will be giving away a chicken-inspired gift!

All you have to do to enter is write a short response to each giveaway post. We will pick one winner at random for each giveaway posted, and we will announce the week's winners on Fridays — be sure to check back to Inside Storey each day!

Today's giveaway is the Black Hen Tape Dispenser.

Let us know why you would like to win this gift, if you own chickens, or if you want to raise chickens; give us your favorite chicken or egg recipe or tell us a funny chicken story; or just say “hello.” But remember, you must post to be entered to win.

We look forward to your responses!

Happy Chick Days from your friends at Storey Publishing & MyPetChicken.com.

My chickens love the oak pollen beards that are falling at our home. I think they believe they are eating worms.

One of my Dominiques and one of my Wyandottes got into a squabble over a piece of whole wheat penne last night. It was hilarious.

We have 27 black Austrolorps (3 roosters and 24 hens). We have a black (and blue merle)Australian cattle dog, and two black cats. The chickens must think the four-legged mammals are deformed chickens. They accept them as friends, deformities and all!

I'm lovin' this little tape dispenser - I could totally camouflage my tape from my toddlers since they're used to seeing chickens around the house!

I have a co-worker who would enjoy having this on her desk to remind her of her chickens at home. If I'm the lucky one, it's hers!

We're going to use a trampoline wrapped in chicken wire as a chicken tractor this summer. We have 100 meat birds to raise, and want to free range them. This way we can just pick up the trampoline and drag it to a new spot each day. Light weight, sun sheltered/protected and plenty of room to run!

I have a chicken theme going on in my kitchen and this would look darling sitting at my desk area!

This tape dispenser would be for my chicken-loving 7 year old, whose 8th birthday is on May 8. He loves drawing pictures of our chickens and making them into stories.

Love the chicken stuff! How about a quick recipe: Devilled Ham Eggs. Hard boil a dozen eggs, cool and remove shells. Slice in half and put yolks in a bowl. Mix in a can of "flakes of ham", then add mustard to taste. Mix well and put the mixture into a plastic bag. Cut a corner off and pipe it into the egg white halves.
These are very simple and my picky kids love them!
