What Goes Around Comes Around

Last year I gave The Essential Guide to Color Knitting Techniques to my dear friend and a devoted knitter, Venus.

This year in return I got these amazing wool mittens. Note my initials on the cuff!

Her daughter Ever also suggested they could be
my morning mittens (as in ante meridian).

She told me she used the techniques in chapter 5: "Holding One Color in Each Hand" on page 149 and "Holding Both Yarns in Your Left Hand" on page 150. She also used "Managing Long Floats" on pages 156–157, which she said helped tremendously.

The pattern she used, Mittens from Halland, is not from Color Knitting. It's from a book called Folk Mittens by Marcia Lewandowski, but the techniques and photos in Color Knitting got the whole ball rolling! Yay, Venus!
