Garden Blogger's Bloom Day — September 2009

It's Garden Blogger's Bloom Day again at May Dreams Garden, and here's a glimpse of what Storey employees have blooming during this beautiful New England September.

Sunflowers and a late season daylily from Maryellen Mahoney.

Sunflowers are also dominating the border at Kathyn Remillard's garden (along with lots of neatly stacked wood, ready for winter).

There's Sedum, Ice Plant, and a visiting walking stick in Jennie Smith's yard.

In my garden the Hydrangeas are turning pink.

And the edges of the fields are gold with native wild flowers.

The second sunflower photo is fabulous! Love the flame like petals and the starry nectaries. Brava!

Don't you love how big sunflowers get! And the fact that there are so many kinds to grow. They always make me think of home growing up in Kansas.
